Home Support Services provides a wide range of community care and wellness services. Choosing from the many options available for promoting health, independence, safeguarding and well-being demands professional expertise in person centred planning and risk assessment. Home Support Services, established since 1994, are specialists in this field.
The whole team is commited to ongoing improvement and learning as this is essential when providing good quality care and support. We have taken The Social Care Commitment so we can make a public promise to you about our proactive stance on ensuring that we are continuously assessing how we are doing, what we are doing, what works well for people we support, and what we need to change.
At Home Support Services we facilitate adults of all ages and abilities to remain living within their own homes and as part of their familiar communities for as long as possible. In order for this to be successful, we understand that having choice and control over your own life and the care you receive is vital, and we are passionate about understanding your needs so that we can develop you a service that reflects this and remains flexible to accomodate you should your needs change.
Our office, based centrally in the City of Derby provides a wide range of home care and support, which is person centred. These services vary from providing assistance with the simpliest of daily tasks to make life just that little bit easier right up to assistance with complex health care needs, such as providing support for people who have suffered injuries, the infirm, individuals who are convalecent and those requiring palliative care.
Home Support Services is piloting the Macmillan Care and Compassion Development Programme for Health and Social Care Support Workers in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and Skills for Care. Since October 2014, Macmillan Cancer Support has been developing and testing an innovative development programme with Nursing staff and now Home Support Services are piloting this for the Social Care Sector in the East Midlands.
This Programme, which is work-based, person-centred, embeds Macmillan's Values Based Standards of compassion, dignity and respect as a common thread. Therefore is naturally embraces Home Support Services organisational mission statement, values, aims and objectives as well as covering significant componanets of the nationally recognised Care Certificate.
You can have the upmost faith in the quality of training and development of Home Support Services social care staff who provide support to the community of Derby and Derbyshire.
